Continuing along the coast, we arrive at the Crusader city of Acre, which served as the capital of the Crusader kingdom and the jewel of the Mediterranean for 100 years. Our first stop is the impeccably preserved Hospitaller fortress, the headquarters of the Knights of St. John, one of the most powerful military orders in the Holy Land. Marvel at the impressive art and architecture in the grand courtyard and the spacious vaulted halls of the fortress.
